Latisse Lengthens Your Lashes!
Doesn’t everyone want long, beautiful lashes? I certainly do! But at about age 30, most women’s lashes start to lighten. They lose thickness and length. And the older we get, the less noticeable our lashes become.
So how do you fix thinning lashes?
Lash extensions, lots of mascara, false eyelashes, and keratin lash lifts all work. The down side to all of them is that they are labor intensive. Lash extensions in particular look beautiful, but require a big time commitment – 1 to 2 hours every couple of months. In my opinion, the best way to fix thinning lashes is by using Latisse – the first and only FDA-approved, science-based treatment to enhance eyelash length, thickness and darkness.
How does Latisse work?
Eyelash growth is cyclical. The normal eyelash growth cycle has 4 phases that take place over several months. Latisse is believed to extend the active growth phase. According to the Latisse.com website, 78% of the people using this product had a significant increase in overall eyelash fullness, length and darkness. Studies also showed that lashes grew 106% fuller, 25% longer and 18% darker.
This product is so effective that many lash technicians recommend it to their eyelash extension clients. With new lash growth, there are more hairs available to attach to extensions, giving a fuller effect. Many technicians also recommend it when lash extensions are stopped. When extensions are taken out, lashes are more prone to falling out. People that begin using Latisse prior find their lash fallout rate is much lower.
What can you expect?
I use Latisse and it really works. Now there is so much more lash to curl! It takes a full 8 weeks to start seeing changes. Lashes start to lengthen at 8 weeks. Darkness and fullness come in next and increase gradually during use. Full results are seen at 16 weeks of continuous use. This requires patience!
Note:
When I first started applying Latisse, it wasn't working as well as I thought it would. I realized that I had been using an oil based eye makeup remover at night before applying the Latisse. Some of the oil was still on my eyelids when I applied the Latisse. It acted like a barrier and kept the Latisse from working. Learn from my mistake. If you use an oil based eye makeup remover at night, use Latisse in the morning after all the oily residue from the remover is gone.
