Spider veins, skin tags, cherry angiomas, sebaceous hyperplasia and other skin imperfections can make you feel unattractive.

Fortunately there are ways to fix them.

What is a cherry angioma?

Cherry angiomas are bright cherry red, usually oval or circular, and small. They range from the size of a pinpoint up to ¼ of an inch in diameter. Some are level with your skin and some are raised. Learn more in our page, What are these little red spots on my skin? Why do I get them?

Many medical and dermatology offices use radiofrequency to treat spider veins of the face and chest, skin tags, sebaceous hyperplasia and cherry angiomas. Sometimes it's even used to treat dark spots.

What's It Like?

An electric current is applied with a very fine needle-shaped electrode to cause thermal damage to the affected area. After treatment, scabs develop and last about a week. Larger areas may require more than one treatment. This method is a time proven, highly effective method of treatment that can be offered for a fraction of the cost of laser treatments.

Does it hurt?

Everyone has their own level of tolerance to pain. The feeling has been likened to a stinging and pricking sensation. If needed, a topical numbing cream or injectable lidocaine can be used prior to treatment to control the pain.
